Never expected this to happen.
For the past few 20% times, I haven't really done much of Danish learning. It just became extremely boring. It isn't something I enjoy, and I hate to say it. Last post I almost hinted at it with the marquee.
I want to do HTML as my 20% time.
Arguably the easiest coding language to learn, it's basically the foundation for websites and other things. I'm having tons of fun messing around with it on test websites, and I hope to create a fully-functioning website about the 20% time of HTML at the end of the year. This won't be easy, but it certainly will be fun.

Brief Description: I’m going to be
learning Danish and some basic Danish history/facts.
Overview of Project Proposal
1) Project Objective:
I think I will learn some Danish grammar
and basic words, and along the way get some Danish history and trivia. Along
the way I will quiz myself and check my progress. If I’m doing less then what I
expect of myself, I will study at home. I don’t expect at all to be fluent by
the 15th of May, but I can hope to have an extremely simple Danish
conversation.
2) Project Rationale:
I’m doing this project because I feel it
is something I can enjoy, and something that is also important. My mom speaks
fluent Danish, except for one word: Elbow. She doesn’t know how to say that in
Danish. I’m not doing this just because my mom has lived in Denmark, either—I
actually am a great part Danish.
3) Project Steps:
1. Learn.
2. Test.

4) Timeline of Activities:
November-December
Learn a few necessary words.
Example: excuse me, hungry, bathroom
January-April
Learn how to pronounce words and put
them into a sentence correctly.

Day 3.
Day 3 now.
Well, not really. You know what I mean.
I've set the language from English --> Danish to Danish --> English.
Instead of seeing an English word and trying to think of the Danish word, I will not have a Danish word and try to find out what it means in English. I think this is the best way to go about doing it as I no longer have to cover the list of words to select up with my hand. On the downside, it's easy to predict what the English word is based on the word before it and the category.
I've told myself I would get Rosetta stone in here but I haven't done it yet. I promise you that by day four I'll have Danish Rosetta Stone in here (assuming I can find it at my house). For the time being, I use random websites that work okay. These websites though don't go much deeper than simple nouns and don't teach you how to put them in a sentence.

Day 2.
Well, it's now day 2, and I still don't have many details worked out.
I was planning on using Babbel. It seemed like a good website, but then as soon as lesson one was done... $8/month.
I can't seem to find anything. I think I might just take a Rosetta Stone CD from home.
I know a few of the things to start off, because of my mom using some phrases at home.

...and a few others.
Remember how I said "Farvel, venner." last blog?
Well, that means Goodbye, Friends.
Too formal. I used Google Translate.
NOT MAKING THAT MISTAKE AGAIN.
The informal way of saying it, the equivalent of "Bye-bye, or Buh-Bye" is. . .
"Hej hej, venner."

Day one.
So this is my first post of 20% Time. I hope they will be frequent.
I see some example blogs and the updates are sparse.
Well, here's what I plan on doing:
For my 20% Time, I would like to learn Danish.
Obviously, I'm not doing to become fluent in Danish in ~25 90 minute sessions, but I can hope to get some basic grammar down and nouns down.
On another note, right now I have a basic, stock theme for my blog.
I asked my teacher, Miss Browning, if I could use Tumblr, as it's much neater and easier to edit in my opinion. As you can tell, though, my whole class had to do Google Blogs.
It's fine, though. I'll try to keep frequent updates. I don't expect anyone except Miss Browning to follow this, though. If someone does, though, that'd be great.
